Huggin' Molly's

I was so excited to try a new restaurant Friday night with my family. My parents stumbled upon Huggin' Molly's a few months back and loved it! Huggin' Molly's is located in downtown Abbeville, Alabama -- a small town with a lot of charm and character. The restaurant has two parts -- one side is just for dining and has beautiful exposed brick while the other side is an ole' time soda fountain.

I have always loved all things and everything soda fountain related and this one sure did not disappoint! Everything in there -- from seating to appliances -- made it seem like it was the 50s all over again. After dinner we mosided over to the soda fountain for dessert. I had the Molly's Half-Brother (pictured above) and it was delicious.

Huggin' Molly is a well-known legend in Abbeville. It has been said that she still walks the streets of Abbeville late at night. She will slowly creep behind you, give you a tight hug and scream in your ear. Stories of encounters with her have been passed down from generations and the myth is still alive today. Unfortunately, we did not get a visit with Huggin' Molly while we were there, but I will be on the lookout next time!

If you are in the area or want to try a new place out I would highly recommend it. It was such a fun experience!
